Yay! It’s so fun! I actually just bought a hobonichi 5 year journal to start in 2026 that I’m going to do this in, which is probably crazy but in 5 year should be fun to look back on 😬
Haha. Yes! Glad to send you down this rabbit hole. There are all sorts of fun things you can do with the 5 year too, like use the blank page on the right for a little text describing each day or (and this is likely what I’m going to do) turn it into a 10 year journal by drawing in the next 5 years on the blank page.
I agree! There is something satisfying about drawing in a planner. Less precious somehow than a sketchbook and also motivating in a way a sketchbook is not (for me) because it’s dated.
So proud to be part of this journey and it's lovely to see what you have been up to!
Thanks Jane! I’m truly thankful Denise told me about your class, it has been so important to me.
🥰🥰🥰🥰
DOPE! Booki Vivat does this similarly https://bookivivat.com/planner-doodles
I love Booki! She is totally an inspiration!
Agreed:)
INSPIRED to use my Hobonichi Weeks this way! Love what you did!

Welp, didn't know that existed. Now I want to buy one ASAP.

I struggle to keep a pure "sketch" notebook, always have. But I *love* planners. This feels like a good middle ground tbh.

I’ve been doing the Hobinichi style journaling for two years now. I call it “Doodle Memories”. And I love it.
Also mix it with the other type of journaling you shared! Thanks so much for the inspiration
Love the idea of stacking your moments into twelve for the year! Lovely sketches ☺️
I love this!!
I love the idea of doing this in a hobonichi weeks.
It’s really fun and I like the way a week looks when it’s done.
You are amazing!
